I'm Benjamin Wallace, a security and compliance leader with nearly 20 years across network architecture, security engineering, and governance in healthcare, medical device software, financial services, and retail.
I'm currently Principal Architecture and Security Consultant at Tieto (formerly MentorMate), where I lead a security architecture and governance team across the Americas, founded our Security and Compliance Excellence Center, and led the global development of our ESSR AI Risk Management Procedure, the governance framework that has brought in new clients in banking and medtech.
Over my career I've led four HITRUST readiness efforts resulting in three certifications, advised executives on HITRUST, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and IEC 62304, and built security programs from scratch at a healthcare company, a retail co-op, and bank branches across the US. I speak and write on AI governance and post-quantum readiness, most recently at the GDS Group CIO Insight Summit, on the Data Insiders podcast, and in Tieto Insights.
